Militia – Born May 29, 1826 in Montreal, Quebec – Died May 21, 1885 at Belleville, Ontario – He was a younger brother of Hon. Sir Alex. Campbell, K.C.M.G., and of Mr. C. J. Campbell, Asst. Receiver Genl. at Toronto. – (Obit. 85).

CAMPBELL, Archibald S. – Died August 3, 1886 at Ottawa, Ontario – Accid'ly killed by the explosion of a revolver – (ADS 86).

CAMPBELL, Chas. Archibald – M.D. – Native of Callander, Perthshire, Scotland – Died March 15, 1886 at Sabrevois, Quebec. He came to Canada in 1838. He married in 1847 a daughter of Mr. Jas. McGillivray, of Sabrevois. He claimed that his father was a near relation of a Marquis of Breadalbane, and had served in the army under Prince Charles Edward in 1745. – (Obit. 86).

CAMPBELL, Colin – Died May 3. 1883 in the Vale mine, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia – Killed when, coming up from his work, the rope attached to the rake breaks, and the boxes run down the slope. – (JRO 83).

CAMPBELL, David (Major) – Late 63rd Foot – Born in 1784 in Scotland – Died July 21, 1881, Cobourg, Ontario – He was a son of Capt. Campbell, of the 52nd Light Infantry, and a brother of Col. Robt. Campbell, the ''hero of St. Sebastian.'' His adopted daughter is the wife of Lieut. Col. J. Vance Graveley, Mayor of Cobourg. – (Obit. 80-81).
